I’m Karen Kelly, and decided on Pet Sitting for a pleasant addition to my retirement years. I was born and raised on a farm in Iowa with many cats and dogs and even a pet rooster. For the last 46 years (in California, Georgia, & Alabama) we have had cats and dogs in our home, where they became our children. (No human children.)
I showed one of our Cairn Terriers to her AKC Championship, and then we went on and got her Companion Dog degree in Obedience. My husband showed his Cairn terrier in obedience trials and was second in the United States in 1993. We had the privilege of having both of our Cairns certified as Pet Therapy dogs, going into nursing homes and schools for disabled children. Just recently we took top honors in the obedience ring with our 6½-pound, 19 month old Pomeranian at the National Pomeranian Specialty. We also have two cats that are indoor cats, and the love of my life is our little rescue dog, a Pomeranian/terrier mix.
I will treat your pets with the same love that I give mine.
