My name is Karen Kelly. I was born and raised on a farm in Iowa with many animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, a pet rooster, canaries, parakeets and fish. For the last 48 years (in CA, GA and AL) we have had dogs and cats in our home where they became our children, since we had no human children.
For many years we had Cairn Terriers and I showed one to her AKC Championship and we earned one AKC degree in Obedience. My husband showed his Cairn in Obedience and ranked second in the country.
We currently own Keli, our special Pom/Terrier rescue dog and two Pomeranians. The older Pom, Shilo, took High in Trial (Obedience) two years in a row at the National Pomeranian Specialty. The little one, Hoss, is our lap dog. His philosophy is ‘why work when I can lay on a warm lap’. We also have two indoor 13- year old cats.
As you can see, animals have always been a big part of my life. I’ve been pet sitting for Petz Sitter for three years and feel like I have children all over the area. I love each and every one as if they were my own. I would be honored to add yours to our family.
